Townline Farms, located just miles from the proposed data center site, expressed significant concern about the project's impact on its operations, which involve connecting people with disabilities to animals. The owner noted that horses are sensitive to vibrations and sounds, which could be negatively affected by the data center's proximity. While the Chamber argues the project will save local utility customers $800 million, the affected businesses feel their concerns were ignored.
Business owners, including the owner of Zenith Bookstore, reported receiving overwhelming community support after announcing their departure from the Chamber.
