Oregon Governor pauses data center development on public lands; Verrus hires lobbyist

On Friday, Sept. 4, Drew Hagedorn with Oregon Government Affairs Advisors LLC, was registered as a lobbyist on behalf of Verrus, the Silicon Valley company building a data center in Salem’s Mill Creek Corporate Center. On Tuesday, Sept. 8, Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek’s office announced all unapproved requests for data centers on public lands would be paused through July 1, 2027, or until new directives are given.
