Industrial SalesLeads, Inc. reported sustained capital investment in the Southeast United States throughout the second quarter of 2026, with 375 new industrial, manufacturing, and supply chain facility projects tracked across 11 states. These projects represent a collective investment exceeding $23.7 billion, including 28 projects valued over $100 million each.
The activity spans diverse sectors such as automotive, aerospace, food and beverage, life sciences, and data centers. Notable data center projects include a company seeking approval for a large-scale data center campus in North Carolina, and a developer planning a $3 billion data center campus in Virginia. Overall, the Transportation, Utilities, and Data Centers category accounted for 30 (8%) of the tracked projects.
While aerospace and automotive manufacturing led in capital investment with significant projects in North Carolina and Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina collectively accounted for nearly half of all new industrial and manufacturing project activity in the region.
