Del. May Nivar is urging the Goochland County Board of Supervisors to deny the proposed nearly 900-acre Tuckahoe Technology Park data center campus. Del. May Nivar, who represents parts of Goochland and Henrico counties in the Virginia House of Delegates, asked the Goochland County Board of Supervisors to carefully consider or deny the proposed Tuckahoe Technology Park. The planned campus would cover nearly 900 acres near Route 288, only a few miles from Henrico County homes, and Nivar said its size and location may be incompatible with nearby residential development.

Nivar said she has received hundreds of emails from residents and urged county officials to weigh community concerns during the review process. Goochland County Administrator Jeremy Raley said the Board of Supervisors had received Nivar's letter and welcomed input from residents and other stakeholders. County officials said the developer has not yet submitted the formal application required for county approval.
