The Frederick County Board of Supervisors scheduled an October 28, 2026, public hearing in Winchester on three land-use applications tied to potential data center development. Winchester Gateway LLC is seeking a conditional-use permit for a 71.85-acre data center site near Apple Valley Road and Middle Road.

Virginia Technology Park is seeking to rezone about 220 acres near Rest Church Road for technology-manufacturing park uses, including data centers. A separate application would rezone approximately 244 acres owned by the estate of Montie Wood Gibson Jr. from rural-area zoning to light industrial at 1787 Fairfax Pike. County residents may submit written or in-person comments before or during the hearing.
