Earth Month at Bellevue College: All The Activities in Week 4 of Spring Quarter

Bellevue College is observing Earth Month throughout April, featuring a range of sustainability initiatives and events coordinated by the BC Sustainability Office. A key event on April 28 is a presentation by Neal Andersen of 350 Seattle and the Sierra Club. This session will inform students about the environmental implications of data center construction in Washington, specifically detailing their effects on water and energy resources. The discussion will also delve into legislative measures currently being pursued to mitigate these impacts. Other Earth Month activities include the sale of fresh, locally grown produce boxes, an eco-poetry workshop, an annual Earth Market showcasing local vendors and community organizations, a presentation by students who traveled to Costa Rica, and a campus habitat restoration session focusing on invasive plant removal and stormwater filtration techniques.
