St. Louis city officials have outlined 12 proposed conditions for a significant $3.1 billion data center development. The project, put forward by local investor Rod Thomas and Las Vegas-based real estate firm Contour, plans to convert the former Famous-Barr warehouse into a 487,000-square-foot facility. Key conditions include regulations on water usage, requirements for opaque fencing, and stipulations that the data center project must not create a nuisance for the surrounding area. The developers also intend to transform the adjacent Armory building into luxury office space for the future data center tenant.
