The City of Savannah is asking residents, businesses and neighborhood groups to comment on proposed data center regulations through an online survey. The rules under consideration could change zoning requirements governing where data centers may be built and how they operate.

Potential provisions include limits on noise, water consumption and electricity use, minimum distances from neighborhoods, and requirements related to community benefits. Public comments are being accepted through Nov. 20.
