PNK P1 LLC is seeking to rezone nearly 780 acres north of Route 940 in Hazle Township from mining to industrial use. The proposal calls for nine warehouses ranging from about 397,000 square feet to 1.28 million square feet, along with a wastewater treatment plant and associated truck bays and parking.

The land is owned by Centre Lime and Stone, which has agreed to sell the property to PNK P1. The application does not identify future warehouse users or confirm whether the buildings would support production as well as storage. PNK is connected to PNK Group, a New York-based company that develops warehouses and data centers, while NorthPoint Development is among nearby property owners through an affiliate involved in the Greater Hazleton data center and warehouse market. Hazle Township's zoning board scheduled a public hearing on the rezoning request for Oct. 20.
