Sioux City officials are preparing to establish zoning rules for data centers. The city's Planning and Zoning Commission will review potential regulations on Oct. 13, while city staff provide an overview of issues that may need to be addressed.

Staff will draft an amendment for presentation to the commission on Oct. 27, after which the commission is expected to send a recommendation to the Sioux City City Council in November. Residents can provide feedback at either meeting or by email, and additional information will be posted on the city's website.
