The city of Hermantown, Minnesota, has initiated a 30-day public comment period concerning an updated scoping document for Google's proposed hyperscale data center. City spokesperson Joe Wickland announced that this document is part of an Alternative Urban Areawide Review (AUR) process for the project.
Google plans to construct the data center on approximately 280 acres near Midway and Morris Thomas roads. The AUR is designed to evaluate potential environmental impacts of various development scenarios before the project proceeds.
