At an Upper Merion Township Board of Supervisors meeting, a non-speaking resident identified as Colin, who lives in Hughes Park, delivered a compelling testimony against a proposed data center development.
Colin, who experiences motor challenges and a compromised sensory system, specifically highlighted the detrimental impact of the anticipated constant noise and frequency from the data centers. He explained that his overly sensitive hearing system requires noise-canceling headphones for daily activities and that the proposed data centers would cause harmful, constant noise.
The Board of Supervisors, after considering the testimony and other factors, ultimately denied the project.
