Crusoe’s Contracted AI Infrastructure Capacity Approaches 5 Gigawatts Across Data Centers and Cloud
Crusoe announced it has contracted 4.9 gigawatts of AI infrastructure across its data center projects and cloud platform, with a total development pipeline exceeding 40 GW. The company is building multiple large-scale AI data center campuses in the US, including in Abilene, Texas, for Oracle and Microsoft, and additional sites in Texas and Missouri.
Crusoe, an AI factory company, announced it has contracted 4.9 gigawatts (GW) of AI infrastructure across its data center projects and Crusoe Cloud platform, with a total development pipeline exceeding 40 GW. This expansion is driven by accelerating demand from hyperscalers, enterprises, and AI natives for Crusoe's vertically integrated AI infrastructure.
According to Chase Lochmiller, Co-founder and CEO of Crusoe, the company is uniquely positioned to meet the high demand for AI infrastructure at scale. Crusoe's model integrates power and construction development, manufacturing long-lead electrical components in its facilities in Colorado, Oklahoma, and Louisiana, to deliver compressed timelines and reduced risk.
The company's AI data center development portfolio for hyperscale clients includes five campuses across the United States. Its flagship 1.2 GW campus in Abilene, Texas, purpose-built for Oracle, has two buildings operational and six under construction. Crusoe also recently broke ground on a second 900 MW campus in Abilene for Microsoft. Additionally, two other large-scale campuses are planned for Texas and a fifth for Missouri, all in various stages of site work and construction, each with a dedicated power strategy tailored to local energy resources.
