Palm Beach County planning officials approved a revised site plan allowing Project Tango to expand its data center footprint to nearly 700,000 square feet at the Central Park Commerce Center near 20-Mile Bend. The approval followed months of opposition from nearby residents, while county commissioners had previously rejected a much larger 3.69-million-square-foot expansion request.

Palm Beach County’s Development Review Officer approved a revised site plan on Oct. 7, 2026, for Project Tango at the 202.67-acre Central Park Commerce Center near 20-Mile Bend. The plan increases permitted data center space from 206,000 square feet to nearly 700,000 square feet while remaining within the property’s existing master-plan rights and overall 2.02-million-square-foot development cap.

The approval came after the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners rejected a separate request from developers PBA Holdings and TPA Group to expand the site to 3.69 million square feet. Nearby residents, particularly in the Arden community and around Loxahatchee, have opposed the larger data center proposals, while developers have pointed to the site’s established industrial setting and access to power and water infrastructure.
