Dozens of Hanover County residents came out Wednesday night to hear about a new data center proposal just days after county leaders denied a similar plan. The proposed Mountain Road Tech Park would span 428 acres just off of Route 33 in Ashland, within the county's South Anna District. "We don’t want to be NOVA," one resident said during a community meeting about the proposal held on Wednesday, Feb. 4. "Once you have one or two, it just kind of tells data center developers, ‘Hey, this is a county that’s friendly to data centers.'" The meeting marked the second community forum and was held in an open-house style. https://www.wric.com/news/local-news/hanover-county/community-meeting-mountain-road-data-center/
