James Julius, a Republican candidate for Pennsylvania’s 45th House District, outlined priorities including affordability, reliable energy and workforce development. James Julius, the Republican candidate for Pennsylvania’s 45th House District, said his priorities include lowering household costs, expanding local career opportunities and improving government responsiveness. He supports increasing energy supply, investing in generation and transmission, and maintaining an all-of-the-above energy policy that includes natural gas, nuclear power and renewables.

Addressing artificial intelligence and data centers, Julius said developers should provide dependable generating capacity beyond a facility’s expected peak demand, including planned expansion, before the project begins drawing electricity from the grid. He also said developers should pay for related infrastructure, while the state establishes energy and ratepayer protections and municipalities retain authority over siting and local impacts. He called for enforceable safeguards covering water use, noise, lighting, emergency services and facility cleanup.
