The economic development agency Grow NELA launched a website feature to illustrate this "tidal wave" impact, noting Richland Parish's 2025 sales tax growth surpassed its previous 20 years combined. Rural Richland Parish and regional hub Ouachita Parish have seen the most dramatic increases, with overall regional sales tax collections projected to jump 13% in 2025 and an additional 22% in 2026.
