Archbald Borough has scheduled a special meeting to consider a conditional use application for an 18-data-center campus proposed by Archbald I LLC. The meeting follows a postponed public hearing and previous testimony from the developer, Provident Realty Advisors. The borough faces a 45-day deadline for subsequent hearings under state planning code, or the application could be deemed approved.

Archbald Borough has called a special meeting for Friday at 1 p.m. to review a conditional use application submitted by Archbald I LLC, a developer proposing an 18-data-center campus along Eynon Jermyn Road and Business Route 6. The meeting will be held at the Municipal Building. This decision comes after the borough council postponed a public hearing for the 'Project Scott' data center campus on Monday due to a failure by The Times-Tribune to publish required public notices. The initial public hearing took place on February 11, where Provident Realty Advisors of Dallas, Texas, the developer behind Archbald I, presented two of its five planned witnesses. Under the Pennsylvania Municipalities Planning Code, subsequent hearings must be conducted within 45 days, unless the applicant grants an extension. Failure to meet this deadline could result in the application being 'deemed an approval' by default, according to the MPC.
