A construction worker, 33-year-old Christopher Lawe of Oklahoma, died Monday evening after being struck by a pickup truck at the Meta data center construction site in Lebanon, Indiana. Emergency services were called to the site along County Road 400 West and State Road 32 around 5:43 p.m. where medical personnel initiated life-saving measures, but Lawe was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Lebanon Police Department is leading the investigation into the fatal accident. A spokesperson for Meta issued a statement to News 8, expressing deep sadness over the worker's death and extending thoughts to his family, friends, and coworkers. Meta is actively collaborating with the general contractor at the site to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
