Niagara Falls Redevelopment (NFR) is proposing a $1.5 billion data center complex, the Niagara Digital Campus, on a 53-acre site near downtown Niagara Falls, New York. The project envisions nine buildings covering 600,000 square feet and is touted by NFR to generate 500 permanent jobs, over 5,600 temporary construction jobs, and $414 million in tax revenue for the city, Niagara Falls School District, and Niagara County over two decades.
The development is a component of a broader "two-project solution" that also includes Mayor Robert Restaino’s Centennial Park arena project. This solution is currently undergoing court-ordered mediation to resolve a series of long-standing lawsuits, land disputes, and regulatory battles between the City of Niagara Falls and NFR. Environmental concerns have been raised regarding the large-scale data center plan as it seeks to advance.
