Only two residential construction permits were issued last month, both for single-family homes, worth just over $1 million. This represents a significant dip from $3.2 million in January and $12.4 million in December.
On the commercial side, the city did issue a $1.6 million permit for the construction of a new marijuana dispensary on Caroline Drive. The facility is owned by Kansas City-based Elevate Cannabis and is set to open on July 1, as confirmed by a company official.
