Pinal board rejects sprawling data center

The Pinal County Board of Supervisors voted 4-1 to deny the proposed La Osa Energy Center, described as a sprawling data center project, during a recent meeting in Florence, Arizona.

The decision followed an extensive public hearing that lasted almost three hours, where more than 60 speakers addressed the board. The board's meeting room and two overflow rooms were reportedly filled with residents keen to witness the outcome of the vote.
