The industrial park in McGregor is set to expand after the city council approved plans for a new data center. The company building the facility is Galaxy, which has entered into a contract with the city of McGregor for the project they are calling Project Merlin and said it should not have a major impact on residents. The plan calls for several buildings on 500 acres in an open area northeast of the SpaceX facility in town. Galaxy said it will cover the cost of infrastructure tied to the project. “Any infrastructure upgrades that we need for our power, it’s on us. We pay for that. It comes out of our pocket,” said Drew Luna, a Galaxy representative, speaking at the council meeting. #McGregorTexas #DataCenters #TexasDataCenters #CentralTexasDataCenters
