Path One Data Centers presented plans for a potential data center in Estherville, Iowa, to the Estherville Planning and Zoning Commission. Chief Investment Officer Gyles Uhlenhopp said the facility could reach 25 megawatts, occupy roughly 12 acres in the city’s south-side industrial park and create 15 to 25 jobs.

The company said Estherville’s available industrial land and power capacity make it a suitable location for its rural-focused edge data center model. City planners began discussing data center regulations and are expected to continue on Oct. 29; if rules are developed, the proposal would advance to the City Council, which could vote Nov. 2 on holding a future public forum.
