Residents of Bonner and West Riverside are invited to a community council meeting on Monday, April 13, to discuss several recent development proposals, including a potential AI data center and the Blackfoot Crossing subdivision. The meeting, scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Bonner School cafeteria and accessible via Zoom, will provide updates on the proposed Bonner Mill AI data center and its special exception permit process. According to Missoula County, a special exception permit is required for uses that align with zoning intent but demand additional consideration due to factors like location or scale. The agenda also includes a review of the Blackfoot Crossing subdivision's current status and next steps. In March, Missoula County Commissioners approved Neighborhood Centered zoning for this property, rejecting the developer's request for Commercial Center zoning, which would have allowed a proposed travel plaza. Alongside the Neighborhood Center designation, the commissioners' decision included rezoning for light industrial, residential, and minimal commercial development, as well as designated recreational areas.
