The City of Tucson held a public meeting to discuss proposed new regulations for large-scale data centers. The meeting was intended to present considerations for a potential amendment to the Unified Development Code (UDC) to establish standards and regulations for this land use. The community was invited to learn more about the proposed regulatory framework and provide feedback. The meeting was the second in a series of four public meetings on this topic, which was initiated by Mayor and Council last August.

The City of Tucson invited community members to participate in public meetings to provide input on proposed new regulations for large-scale data centers. The meetings were intended to present considerations for a potential amendment to the Unified Development Code (UDC) to establish standards and regulations for this land use. Four public meetings were scheduled for the community to learn more about the proposed regulatory framework and share feedback. The second meeting was held virtually on Feb. 23 from 5–7 p.m. Registration information was made available through the link provided. The proposed code amendment was initiated by Mayor and Council last August, when it directed City staff to develop regulations for large-scale data centers.
