Jason Bechtle, the site manager, indicated that the facility will require personnel across various fields, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and administrative roles, as well as technicians to maintain Caterpillar reciprocating engines that will generate the data center's electricity on-site. Participating in the job fair were several contractors, including Boyd Caterpillar, and labor unions like IBEW Local 317 and SMART Local 24, all actively seeking to staff the project.
Local opposition to the construction was evident, with protest signs visible along W.Va. 62 near the site. Educational institutions such as the Marshall Advanced Manufacturing Center and West Virginia University also attended, offering information on training programs and degree opportunities relevant to the growing demand for skilled labor in the region.
