South Hanover Township announced that an unnamed Texas developer has paused two zoning applications for the proposed 250-acre complex, situated near Hummelstown and Hershey, close to Swatara Creek. The property is currently zoned as an industrial park district.
The decision to pause follows a township municipal board meeting last month where numerous residents expressed strong concerns about the project. Township officials indicated that the halt in applications is intended to allow for additional community input and feedback regarding the proposed development.
