Southport, N.C. leaders are set to discuss a proposed 15-month data center moratorium during a Board of Aldermen meeting scheduled for Thursday, August 13 at 6 p.m.

The city's Planning Board previously voted unanimously in July to recommend the moratorium to the Board of Aldermen. The proposed measure would temporarily halt city approvals for data center projects. Currently, there are no data center projects proposed or planned within the Southport area.
