Sheboygan Common Council to Discuss Data Center Moratorium
The Sheboygan Common Council is scheduled to meet to discuss a temporary moratorium on the acceptance and construction of data centers in the city. The council will consider taking possible action on establishing this moratorium.
The Sheboygan Common Council is set to convene on May 4th at 6:00 p.m. in Council Chambers. Among the items on their agenda, the council will hold two public hearings concerning the discontinuance of a portion of South Taylor Drive and a Use District Classification for a property on Rolling Meadows Drive.
Following these hearings and a discussion on the 2026 disbursement of Public Service dollars, the council will address the potential establishment of a temporary moratorium.
This proposed moratorium would specifically halt the acceptance and construction of new data centers within the city of Sheboygan.
