Sheboygan Common Council to Discuss Data Center Moratorium

The Sheboygan Common Council is set to convene on May 4th at 6:00 p.m. in Council Chambers. Among the items on their agenda, the council will hold two public hearings concerning the discontinuance of a portion of South Taylor Drive and a Use District Classification for a property on Rolling Meadows Drive. Following these hearings and a discussion on the 2026 disbursement of Public Service dollars, the council will address the potential establishment of a temporary moratorium. This proposed moratorium would specifically halt the acceptance and construction of new data centers within the city of Sheboygan.
