
AI data center coming to Calvert
Beacon Data Centers plans to build a $6 billion artificial intelligence data center complex, known as the Calvert Infrastructure Hub, on 95 acres in northern Mobile County, Alabama. The facility will be located west of U.S. Highway 43 and north of Shepard House Road, supporting AI, cloud programs, and other internet services.
Beacon Data Centers has announced plans for a significant new artificial intelligence data center project in Mobile County, Alabama. The company intends to construct a $6 billion complex, named the Calvert Infrastructure Hub, on a 95-acre portion of a 650-acre parcel.
The facility, which will feature two buildings, is designed to support AI, cloud programs, and various other internet services. It will be strategically located in northern Mobile County, west of U.S. Highway 43 and north of Shepard House Road, nestled between the ArcelorMittal steel mill and downtown Mt. Vernon.
