Champion, Warren Townships to discuss zoning regulations on shared property
Champion and Warren township trustees will hold a joint meeting to discuss zoning regulations for the former Copperwood Steel property at 4000 Mahoning Avenue. The discussion will consider how the townships would regulate the site if a data center were proposed, though no data center project is currently under discussion.
Trustees from Champion and Warren townships in Trumbull County, Ohio, plan to meet on Nov. 4 to discuss zoning regulations for the former Copperwood Steel property at 4000 Mahoning Avenue, which spans both townships. Champion Township Trustee Chair Doug Emerine said the joint meeting is intended to align the townships’ rules for the shared site.
The discussion is precautionary: Emerine said there are no current talks to build a data center at the property. The meeting will focus only on the shared property rather than data center regulations across the townships.
