The forum, originally slated for 3 p.m., will now take place from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, at Wallace Community College in Gallion, Hale County. The event is designed to educate residents of both counties on the potential environmental and infrastructure impacts associated with the data center project.
The forum will feature various subject-matter experts, including environmental attorney Gerald Pouncey Jr., Georgia Conservancy President Katherine Moore, water quality expert Danny Johnson, and infrastructure specialist Jeff Berry. The discussion will be facilitated by conservation attorney and Gallion resident Katherine Eddins, with an opportunity for audience questions. A previous forum on the data center held in Demopolis in April reportedly attracted around 100 residents.
