According to the town, the site is being utilized by National Grid as a construction staging area, also known as a marshalling yard. This area is used for storing materials and parking vehicles during a transmission rebuild project that National Grid is undertaking in the region.
Once the transmission work is finalized, the Town of LeRay has confirmed that the site will be restored to its previous condition.
