Planning commission considers AI data center near Cedar City

A proposed $30 billion AI data center project called Antelope Data Center, being developed by Pronghorn Development, is undergoing a public hearing process with the Iron County planning commission. Residents have expressed concerns about the project's water usage, which the developer says would be comparable to 5-6 houses combined. The planning commission is reviewing the conditional use permit for the 640-acre project located 15 miles northwest of Cedar City, Utah.
