Ramus Development has announced the Los Angeles Recreation and Technology Park, a proposed redevelopment of 18 acres at 1509 Workman Mill Road in City of Industry. The project would combine a nine-hole golf course with a data center on the California Country Club property, near the 605 Freeway, San Jose Creek and the San Gabriel River.

Birtcher Development is leading the entitlement process, while Ramus President Stephen Cho said the project will require a full environmental impact report. Project backers say air-cooled chillers, energy-efficient systems and resilient power infrastructure would reduce water consumption and avoid impacts to surrounding electric rates. Birtcher executive Brooke Birtcher Gustafson also said the project would provide jobs, open space and a community benefits process. The California Building Trades has signed a project labor agreement supporting the development.
