Residents voiced concerns about potential noise, environmental and physical impacts, fire suppression systems, and electricity usage. A key question centered on the specific benefits the data center would provide to the community of Arthur. PathOne representatives indicated that if the project proceeds, it would likely become the county's largest property taxpayer, contributing to roads and schools.
However, a data center moratorium is currently in effect in Ida County, preventing PathOne from starting the project. The company expressed support for the county's deliberation on data center regulations and encouraged residents to share their opinions with county supervisors. PathOne also invited residents to join a community advisory council to continue discussions.
