Sean Bishop, a local resident and business owner, questioned the necessity of these "huge data centers collecting even more data on individuals." He also highlighted the potential strain on local resources, specifically mentioning water usage and costs, stating, "We're already paying enough for water as it is." Bishop urged county officials to prioritize the community's needs, reminding them to "always do what's best for your citizens, not what's best for yourselves."
The commissioners' vote also included the elimination of Flock cameras, a separate issue that drew resident comments regarding privacy, with the Davidson County Sheriff's Office confirming that Flock camera data would be purged and the cameras removed.
