Granbury City Manager Chris Coffman presented the City Council with an update on economic development projects, including Quanta's planned 280-acre project in the city's Commerce Center, which is expected to create 600 to 700 jobs. He also discussed Project Bonus, a planned 126-acre development with 10 proposed buildings intended to attract companies relocating from the West Coast to Central Texas.

Coffman said the city is in discussions regarding a potential data center called Project Patriot, but emphasized that its construction is not certain. Granbury approved regulations addressing possible future data center development earlier in the year. Community opposition to data centers has since prompted efforts to recall city council members, with the recall election currently entangled in legal proceedings.
