
Titus Station redevelopment project in Berks County planned as AI infrastructure campus
Titus Development Company and Go Energy Group have announced a new agreement to transform the former Titus Station power plant site in Berks County, Pennsylvania, into the TRON USA AI Campus. The redevelopment will include a 200-megawatt AI data center, cloud services, and hyperscale data infrastructure, with potential for future on-site energy generation. The project leverages existing industrial zoning, robust electrical infrastructure, fiber connectivity, and water availability in the region.
Titus Development Company has partnered with Go Energy Group to redevelop the former Titus Station power plant site in Berks County, Pennsylvania, into the TRON USA AI Campus. This large-scale artificial intelligence and energy infrastructure campus is planned for approximately 196 acres adjacent to the City of Reading.
The initial phase of the project is slated to include a 200-megawatt AI data center campus, alongside cloud services and hyperscale data infrastructure. Joseph D’Ascenzo, chairman of Titus Development Company, highlighted the site's strategic advantages, including existing industrial zoning, high-capacity electrical infrastructure, regional transmission access, fiber connectivity, and water availability for cooling systems. The company also noted that the site has undergone extensive due diligence, including environmental studies and local approvals.
Go Energy Group, a developer and operator of AI and digital infrastructure projects, emphasized its focus on energy-efficient platforms across its global portfolio. The broader redevelopment plan for Titus Station also includes the potential for future on-site energy generation to support the growing demands of AI and high-performance computing. Additional details regarding investment, timelines, and engineering plans are expected following the completion of final development and interconnection procedures.
