The Montana Department of Environmental Quality is soliciting public feedback on Quantica's proposed well for its Big Sky Campus Data Center near Broadview in Yellowstone County. The well would target the Madison Aquifer and is expected to supply approximately 150,000 gallons of water per day during construction.

After construction, projected use would fall to about 20,000 gallons per day for drinking water and potentially a closed-loop cooling system. DEQ is reviewing water quality and groundwater-protection issues, while the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation will address water quantity and water-rights requirements.
