This facility is projected to be the largest data center globally, creating 35,000 construction jobs and 2,000 permanent positions in economically struggling Pike County.

However, local residents have raised significant concerns about the project's potential environmental impact, including pollution, extensive water consumption, and radioactive waste, as well as its effects on housing and land prices. Congressman Michael Rulli, R-Ohio, stated that most of his constituents oppose data centers, advocating for their placement on old industrial sites rather than agricultural lands or residential areas to mitigate negative impacts.
