The Southaven Mayor and Board of Aldermen recently approved two applications filed by SpaceXAI subsidiary MZX Tech LLC, clearing the way for the construction of a new data center in Southaven, Mississippi. This decision was made during a city meeting on Tuesday, September 1st.

The proposed site for the new data center is located on the south side of Stanton Road, west of Tulane Road. This land was previously home to a city of Southaven police and fire training facility, which was acquired by the tech company in a land swap deal with the city.

With this approval, the newly proposed facility would mark SpaceXAI's fifth data center in the broader Memphis area. The company currently operates or is building three data centers in Memphis, with one already operational in Southaven.
