Persisterhood hosted their annual Earth Day meeting

The St. Joseph chapter of the Persisterhood, an advocacy group, hosted its annual Earth Day meeting on April 24 at the St. Joseph Public Library East Hills Branch. During the event, members of the Missouri Workers Center, including Russell Gray, delivered a speech and presentation. The presentation focused on informing attendees about various environmental concerns affecting the St. Joseph and Kansas City, Missouri, areas. A central theme of the discussion was the growing issue of AI data centers and the environmental risks they pose. Presenters specifically emphasized the significant power consumption of these data centers as a primary concern.
