El Paso officials address water burden from Meta data center
El Paso water officials assured the city council that Meta's new data center is not expected to significantly burden the local water supply. Despite these reassurances, community reservations about the project continue.
El Paso water officials recently addressed the city council regarding concerns about the water supply in connection with Meta's new data center in the northeast region. During a presentation to city representatives, officials assured them that they have a decades-long plan for the area where the data center is being built and do not anticipate a large burden on the local water supply from the facility.
Despite these assurances from El Paso's water department, reservations about the data center project continue to be expressed by the community.
