The Stargate data center project in Abilene, Texas, is spurring significant related development in the region. Developers are now planning the Steel Tree Industrial Flex Park in Abilene, designed to meet the growing demand for industrial space stemming from Stargate and other major projects.

Located near Interstate 20, the 17.5-acre development will feature 10 industrial flex buildings, offering nearly 96,000 square feet of space. Businesses will be able to lease units starting at 2,400 square feet. Developers aim to provide modern industrial facilities with amenities like large overhead doors, secure gated access, and combined warehouse and office space, which they claim Abilene currently lacks.

This new park is intended to accommodate a wide range of businesses, including plumbers, electricians, day laborers, and other contractors and suppliers who will support the Stargate data center and the area's expanding industrial sector. Developers anticipate that the need for such facilities will continue long after the initial construction boom, as data center maintenance can span years. While ground has not yet been broken, the project is in the pre-leasing phase, with developers expecting tenants by January 2027.
