Oracle announced an update to its power plan for Project Jupiter, an artificial intelligence data center slated for Doña Ana County, New Mexico. The software company has filed an application to utilize Bloom Energy fuel cell technology, replacing its initial design that incorporated gas turbines and diesel generators. According to Oracle, this new approach will generate electricity without combustion, thereby reducing emissions and water usage.

Oracle also stated that it would self-fund its power needs and cover energy infrastructure and electricity costs to ensure local residents' electricity rates are not impacted.
