Gov: Pulaski County, Pulaski County Quorum Court, Federal court

AVAIO Digital, which is planning to build a data center near Wrightsville, filed a federal complaint against Pulaski County shortly after the county approved new data center rules and zoning requirements. The company argues that the Pulaski County Quorum Court exceeded its authority by adopting the ordinance and overriding a veto earlier in the week.

AVAIO is asking the court to strike down the new requirements, contending that they address matters controlled by state and federal regulators and interfere with rights it gained when the county approved the project months earlier. The ordinance was drafted by Justice of the Peace Julie Blackwood following months of public pressure. Pulaski County had not responded to the complaint at the time of the report.
