The company aims for positive water usage by 2030, planning to add 5.2 million gallons back to the local water supply.

Meta has invested $1.2 billion into the property and is making significant contributions to the local community, including $1.7 million for various local needs, such as water infrastructure. Additionally, the company has provided over $400,000 in grants to the Temple College and Temple Independent School District (ISD) for STEM programs, focusing on AI education.
A key concern often raised about large data centers, particularly regarding their environmental impact, is water usage. Meta stated its commitment to achieving positive water usage by 2030, planning to contribute 5.2 million gallons of water back into the local supply rather than solely drawing from it. The project also created substantial employment opportunities, supporting over 100 current positions and employing more than 1,200 local tradespeople during its peak construction phase. The massive facility is situated in Temple's industrial area off Industrial Boulevard.
