Advocacy groups "No Beloit Data Center" and "No Janesville Data Center" are co-hosting a public town hall on April 21 at Blackhawk Technical College to voice opposition against data center projects planned for Beloit and Janesville, Wisconsin. The event will feature comedian and journalist Charlie Berens as a special guest speaker. Organizers have invited all residents of Rock County to attend.
The speaker lineup also includes Dr. Brittany Keyes, a clean air policy manager with Healthy Climate Wisconsin, Prescott Balch, a retired technology executive, Lori Huntoon, president and founder of Huntoon Environmental Risk Advisors, and Brit Bumpus, a former Meta employee and Beaver Dam resident. Presentations will be followed by a panel discussion and an audience question-and-answer session.
